Ms. Strueby specializes in formal and informal restructuring and insolvency mandates, and has acted as an advisor to corporate debtors, boards, lenders and other stakeholders facing financial difficulties. In addition, she has assisted clients through various refinancing and restructuring processes across a number of industries.
Prior to joining Harris & Partners, Ms. Strueby spent 11 years with an international consulting firm, where she most recently served as a Senior Director in the restructuring practice in Alberta.
Ms. Strueby has worked across Western Canada on many major restructuring projects. Ms. Strueby’s assignments included acting as Monitor under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA), Court appointed Receiver and Manager of several companies across various industries, Trustee under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act in NOI and Division I proposal proceedings and Financial Advisor to Canadian Schedule A banks and Credit Unions.
Ms. Strueby has worked with clients across various industries, including cannabis, finance, real estate development, retail, energy and other business services.
Ms. Strueby earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. She holds professional designations as a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and is a Licensed Insolvency Trustee. Ms. Strueby is a member of the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, Turnaround Management Association (Northwest Chapter) and the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.
